At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Her Universe Fashion Show has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery to present a runway inspired by DCU superheroes and villains.
Her Universe Fashion Show 2026, presented by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, will be held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel’s Harbor Ballroom on July 23rd at 6pm PT.
The 2026 event will mark a historic first as all competing looks will be inspired exclusively by characters from DC’s vast library. While in previous years a collage of fandoms would have been invited, this year’s show will challenge designers to convey a single iconic brand.
Two designers will have the chance to design a special fashion collection in Her Universe.
“It’s time for geek couture to reach new heights,” actress and Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein said in a statement Friday. “We’re so excited to see how this year’s designers are inspired by DC. Few series are as popular as DC, and we’re honored to be inspired by this vast world. We’re ready to put on a show…’Up, Up, and Away!'”
The portal for designers interested in submitting DCU-inspired haute couture pieces will run from March 27th to April 26th. Visit heruniverse.com for official rules and submission guidelines.
The theme of last year’s Her Universe Fashion Show was “Defying Fashion,” which featured looks inspired by various franchises from Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation. The judges included “Wicked” and “Wicked: For Good” star Melissa Bode and Variety’s Marc Malkin.
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 will be held from July 23rd to 26th.
