Bethenny Frankel is “keeping[her]peace” by not participating in E!’s “Real Housewives of New York City” reboot.
The Bravolebrity, 55, explained to her Instagram followers on Tuesday that joining Golden Life is “bad for business.”
“When I was promoting my business, it was fine, but now that I’m working with a lot of other brands and have different kinds of equity deals and partners, they don’t really appreciate that genre. They like it to be on the back burner.”
Furthermore, Frankel predicted that the other cast members (Dorinda Medley, Sonya Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, and Ramona Singer) would eventually resent her.
“Even though some of the women asked me if I would come back, given the amount of money it would take to get me back, E! probably wouldn’t be able to pay it, but the other Housewives would be so upset with me. It’s happened before,” she claimed.
“I’m really happy for these women and I want them to grow (and) be successful and I hope the show does well,” Frankel continued while making a cup of coffee.
The Skinnygirl creator went on to call the show “a wild and amazing move by E!” before giving the ultimate reason why she quit broadcasting.
“I like my life right now,” the former reality star said. “I like not having to do anything that someone tells me to do or go where someone tells me to go.”
She concluded, “It’s very important for me to protect my peace and protect this stage of my life.”
Representatives for Medley, Morgan, de Lesseps and Singer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Page Six broke the news in January to E! The show was underway.
Jill Zarin appeared on the series at the time, but the 62-year-old was later fired for her abusive behavior during the Super Bowl LX halftime show.
Last month, the businessman slammed Bad Bunny’s record-breaking performance, calling it the “worst ever” in Spanish because there were “literally no white people in it.”
Zarin defended herself after being dropped from The Golden Age, which begins filming later this year.
She told InTouch that the network “didn’t give[her]a chance” and “removed it right away. People make mistakes. I’m human too.”
Later, it was reported that 61-year-old Medley was planning to join.
