Mark Consuelos revealed that “Living with Kelly and Mark” prohibits him and wife Kelly Ripa from having sex in the morning.
“I have to say, this job is really blocking that. It’s been an antidote,” Consuelos admitted on Tuesday’s ABC show.
While the actor was pretty upset about the interruption to his morning intimate time, Ripa seemed relieved as she expressed how “disgusting” she finds morning sex.
Tuesday’s guest, Krista Miller, agreed with Ripa and said she has the same problem with her husband, Bill Lawrence, who also prefers sex in the morning.
“Bill, for the love of God,” Ripa said, staring into the camera. “On behalf of the entire audience here in the studio, there is absolutely no morning sex.”
But Consuelos interjected, saying, “I don’t know, Bill. Something tells me that you should do it.”
Ripa, 55, slammed her husband’s “disgusting” sexual desires during an appearance on Amanda Hirsch’s Not Thin But Not Fat podcast last July.
“I don’t know about your marriage, but on a personal note, are you a night owl or a morning person?” Ripa asked Hirsch at the time, to which the podcast host replied, “Definitely in the evening. Don’t blow on me in the morning.”
Consuelos, 54, also revealed that she only wants to have sex “in the morning,” but that she “thinks it’s gross.”
Ripa also called “Live With Kelly and Mark” a “miracle” since morning sex is nearly impossible to pull off.
“The best thing about this job was that he hated most of his weekday mornings.”
“I hope this show lasts until he suffers from erectile dysfunction,” she jokingly prayed.
The couple is known for revealing secrets about their sex lives on their shared talk show.
In an episode of the show last May, the pair revealed that they like to stay home alone because they can “be naked anywhere in the house whenever I want.”
Ripa cheekily added that her husband was “always a freak show.”
