Brandi Glanville said she dropped $200,000 to find out that breast implants were the cause of her facial deformity.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum revealed her surprising expenses during an appearance on the “I Do, Part 2” podcast episode released Thursday.
The 53-year-old reality star recalled feeling unwell about three years ago and all the symptoms first appeared in her neck and head.
Afterwards, she said she experienced “brain fog” and joint pain and felt “100 years old.”
She visited 21 doctors before realizing that the breast implants she had 20 years ago were the cause of her illness.
“I’m telling you, it’s $200,000,” she revealed. “I had insurance, but the insurance company reps, Kaiser, were the worst.”
“I was paying out of pocket to see an infectious disease specialist, a rheumatologist,” she continued. “I’ve seen every doctor you can think of.”
Her mammogram came back normal, so no one suspected it was because of the breast implants, she said.
She eventually underwent an ultrasound, where doctors confirmed that the implant in her right breast had ruptured and leaked, and both lymph nodes had silicone in them.
Glanville said she immediately felt a difference after having her implants removed two weeks ago.
Earlier this month, she told TMZ that her breast implants were the cause of a mysterious illness that caused her shocking facial deformities.
“There’s a disease associated with breast implants and implants should be replaced every 10 years. I just didn’t do it,” she said. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I learned a really, really hard lesson.”
She didn’t want to discourage women from getting breast implants, but she did recommend getting regular ultrasounds.
The mother of two had been battling facial disfigurement for the past two years. The swelling first started in July 2024.
She initially thought it was stress, but six months later doctors told her they suspected facial parasites.
The model also lost several teeth due to illness and is currently working on replacing them.
