Lisa Rinna has spoken out following reports that she was drugged at the premiere party for Season 4 of The Traitors in January.
The reality TV star appeared on “Good Day New York” and told hosts Jerry O’Connell and Rosanna Scott that he had fentanyl and amphetamines in his system after a party on January 8. TMZ first reported on Monday that Rinna thought she caused some kind of commotion at a party at the Convent in West Hollywood. According to TMZ, Rinna’s Traitors co-star Colton Underwood became concerned and alerted Rinna’s team after noticing that she was “completely inebriated” despite not drinking much. Rinna left the party and thanked her husband Harry Hamlin for his help.
When asked by the host if she was sure she was roofed, Rinna replied, “Yes, I was. I had fentanyl in my system.”
After organizers expressed shock, she said she had been tested after the party, saying: “It’s no joke. I was on fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines, things like that. But I can’t say too much because we’re still dealing with it. It was leaked and my team is currently dealing with it.”
Rinna, who has appeared on reality shows such as “Days of Our Lives,” “Melrose Place,” “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and “Dancing with the Stars,” was chosen to be one of the traitors in season 4 of the Peacock series. She was known for her rivalry with fellow “Bachelor” alum Underwood, as well as her feud with fellow traitor Rob Roush from “Love Island.” The season finale will air on Thursday night.
Regarding the drug use allegations, Rinna said: “I know a lot of people who have had this happen at the convent. All of my daughter’s friends. I mean, this is not the first time. This has been going on for years. And I think we need to talk about it. And I’m glad that now the issue has come to light and we’re going to address this. I haven’t had the personal time to do it yet.”
In response to an interview with Variety, the Abbey issued the following statement:
“Following her visit, Lisa’s team shared their concerns with us and we immediately conducted a thorough internal review.
When she became unwell, our security team assisted and escorted her safely out of the venue. We retrieved and reviewed all available surveillance footage from the time period in question and interviewed staff on duty. No evidence of drink tampering or suspicious behavior towards her was found.
We cannot discuss medical findings and do not want to speculate on toxicology results. We take reports of guests feeling unwell or unsafe very seriously and follow established investigation procedures.
Tampering with drinks is a crime. If you have a guest who believes their drink may be at risk, we strongly encourage you to immediately report it to our management team so we can respond in real time, or directly to law enforcement if you prefer.
Extensive surveillance is in place at the monastery, trained security personnel are in place, and beverage safety measures are continually implemented. Your safety remains our top priority. ”
