Lisa Rinna has denied long-standing rumors about her husband Harry Hamlin’s sexuality after nearly 29 years of marriage.
“Let’s get this straight one last time: Harry is straight,” the Bravo alum wrote in his new book, “You’d better believe I’ll talk about it,” which was released on Tuesday.
“He’s not a gay man in any way. Not that there’s anything wrong with that,” she continued.
Rinna, 62, explained that she had never heard any rumors about Hamlin, 74, until she joined the cast of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in 2014.
“I didn’t care about it because I thought the bitch would say anything to get my hackles up,” she added. “My reaction was always, ‘Why are you angry?'”
The former Housewife, who parted ways with the series in 2023, claimed that “every husband’s sexuality was called into question at some point on the show.”
“When you see a good-looking guy in Hollywood, you say, ‘Is he gay?'” Rinna questioned.
The television personality said Hamlin has been at the forefront of “gay rumors” since he starred in the 1982 film “Making Love.”
In the Arthur Hiller-directed film, the actor plays Bert McGuire, an openly gay man who has an affair with a straight married man.
“Mainstream films about gay men are still rare, but back then they were unheard of,” Rinna wrote.
“He’s doing something that’s true to himself,” she continued. “It was something he felt he absolutely had to do. Harry made a brave decision, but it hurt him.”
The “Traitors” star claimed that Hamlin was “blacklisted for several years afterward,” and that it took 40 years for him to be booked for the 2023 studio film “80 for Brady.”
“Harry still says he would do ‘Making Love’ again because it was so shocking,” Rinna wrote. “Harry changed so many people’s lives, which is why he wouldn’t have it any other way.”
The “Days of Our Lives” star said she and Hamlin “don’t care” about the rumors.
She went on to say that she and the “LA Law” alum share “a tremendous amount of trust” and that she never had to worry about him cheating.
Rinna said, “If she found out he was cheating on her, she would be shocked.”
The Melrose Place alum and Hamlin married in 1997 and later welcomed daughters Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray.
Hamlin was previously married to Laura Johnson from 1985 to 1989 and Nicolette Sheridan from 1991 to 1992.
Rinna has been candid about her relationship with the Clash of the Titans star in the past, admitting to Cosmopolitan in 2024 that while the two “have great sex,” it “doesn’t happen as often” as it did when they were younger due to “the natural evolution of life.”
She also explained on the Who’s the A–hole podcast in February 2025 that sex got better in her 60s because she had a higher “confidence level” and was “more grounded.”
