Bravoholics rejoice. “The Valley” will return for a third season on April 1st. And this time, fans can expect to see two very familiar full-time faces appear on screen: “Vanderpump Rules” alums Lala Kent and Tom Schwartz.
The next season sees a lot of changes within this group of friends, from the birth of a baby to a breakup, and as always, drama. Danny Buco and Nia Sanchez Buco have been doing their best to maintain a picture-perfect marriage, but the birth of their fourth child and recent move to Santa Clarita have made it difficult to maintain their marriage. After Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick welcomed their baby, their relationship has taken a back seat as they adjust to the changes that come with becoming parents. Newly single Brittany Cartwright is working on regaining her “shine” with a mother makeover and other efforts, but the group members are wondering if “everything is happening a little too soon” as she reunites with her old love from Kentucky.
Schwartz, who first appeared on screen as a male “actor” (aka model and actor) on season 1 of Vanderpump Rules, is returning to Bravo after a tumultuous few years and divorce from original Vanderpump Rules cast member Katie Maloney. Desperate to settle down, he is focused on finding his forever person, even if it means upsetting the balance of his friend group. Kent made her television debut in season 4 of the reality show, playing the role of a fiery hostess. Now, she’s focused on being a single mother of two daughters as she celebrates her seventh year of sobriety. Kent and Schwartz both appeared on season 2 of “The Valley.”
The returning “Valley” cast includes Jason Caperna, Janet Caperna, Jasmine Good, Jesse Lally, Michelle Sagniei and Zach Wickham. Goode’s fiancée Melissa Carelli and Wickham’s boyfriend Benji Quack will return to the cast as friends, while Larry’s girlfriend Lacey Nicole will make her first appearance on the show.
Notably absent from the cast is Jax Taylor, who Variety previously reported was stepping down from the show to focus on his mental health and recovery. (Ahead of the Season 2 premiere, Taylor revealed that she had been addicted to cocaine for more than 20 years, and spent 30 days in a mental health facility before returning to the show in Season 3. Taylor and Cartwright’s storyline on Season 2 of The Valley was dark television.)
“The Valley” was originally conceived by executive producer Alex Baskin as a spin-off series of “Vanderpump Rules,” and focused on former SUR employees Taylor, Cartwright and Doute and their cast of well-connected friends as they “travel through bustling businesses, difficult relationships, and frenetic friendships as they trade The Valley’s baby bottles with a West Hollywood bottle service.”
The episode airs on Bravo at 8pm ET/PT and streams on Peacock the next day. “The Valley” is produced by 32 Flavors and Evolution Media, an Amazon MGM Studios company. Baskin, Jeff Festa, Joe Kingsley and Brian McCarthy will serve as executive producers for 32 Flavors Entertainment. Jeremiah Smith, Keith Burke, Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd and Ryan Revell also serve as executive producers.
