Shia LaBeouf, once considered “Hollywood’s last bad boy,” had no problem locking up women. In fact, the actor previously called himself a “serial monogamist.”
But it appears the 39-year-old is in trouble when it comes to love and the law, as he was recently arrested and charged with two counts of simple assault in New Orleans, nearly a year after sources said he and Mia Goth had quietly broken up.
The incident in the Big Easy is not the first time the actor has been accused of abuse, as several of his exes, including ex-boyfriends FKA Twigs and Goss, have also alleged that the star could be unstable.

LaBeouf said he was “honored to work” with Johnson while filming the 2019 film. He also named her as the best on-screen kisser.
During filming, both Johnson and co-star Zach Gotsagen came to their aid and were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and obstruction of justice. Johnson later revealed that she was “very protective” of the actor at the time. She also said that he “might be the greatest actor of[her]generation.”

The two met while filming “Nymphomaniac: Vol. II” in 2012. LaBeouf and Goss married in 2016 in a ceremony in Las Vegas, which was streamed on TMZ.
In 2015, the two were filmed arguing in Germany, during which he told the camera: “I don’t want to touch the woman. I don’t want to hit her, but I’m being pushed.” “If I had stayed there, I would have killed her.”
The couple split in 2018, but a rep told Page Six at the time, “Shia and Mia have filed for divorce. The separation is amicable and all details regarding the divorce process will remain private.”
However, in March 2020, they were spotted wearing their wedding rings while riding bicycles together in Los Angeles. Neither party has confirmed the settlement.
But in February 2026, a source told Page Six that LaBeouf and Goss had secretly broken up a year earlier.
Another source said that after LaBeouf split from Goss in 2025, he moved to New Orleans to be closer to his family.
FKA twigs
LaBeouf began dating the singer shortly after splitting from Goth in 2018. The two met on the set of his film Honey Boy, but didn’t make it official until after filming had finished.
The two dated for just under a year, but Twigs later claimed that the actor was sexually, emotionally, and physically abusive during their relationship. The charges include intentionally giving her a sexually transmitted disease and grabbing her so hard that it caused bruises.
LaBeouf responded to the shocking accusations in an email to The New York Times.
“I am in no position to tell anyone how my actions made them feel,” he wrote. “There are no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and those around me for years. I have a history of hurting those closest to me. I am ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I have hurt. There is nothing else I can really say.”
The former couple later reached a private settlement in 2025.
Margaret Qualley
Qualley and LaBeouf reportedly met in the fall of 2020 while working on the music video for Qualley’s sister’s song “Love Me Like You Hate Me,” but the couple wasn’t seen together for several months.
In December 2020, the two were spotted locking lips at Los Angeles International Airport, and shortly after, they were also spotted running and hiking together.
The couple announced their split in January 2021, just weeks after ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs accused her of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse during their relationship.
“They’re just in different places in their lives,” a source told People at the time, adding that she was focused on her career.
