Barack and Michelle Obama enjoyed a night out with their daughter Sasha during NBA All-Star Weekend.
Michelle and Barack’s family, including their eldest daughter Malia Obama, 27, sat courtside for the big game at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., on Feb. 15, according to a joint Instagram post from Michelle and Barack on Sunday.
The 62-year-old former first lady wore a black jacket and dark blue pants and sat next to her husband, who wore a dark blue jacket over a black T-shirt and gray jeans.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Sasha was pictured sitting behind the couple, coordinating with her father in a gray outfit.
“My favorite teammates on and off the court,” his parents captioned the photo.
Another photo taken at the event shows Barack and Michelle posing with NBA star Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha.
The couple’s daughters typically stay away from the spotlight, aside from occasional public appearances with their families.
But their mother shares intimate details of their lives on the podcast IMO, which she co-hosts with her brother Craig Robinson.
In August, Michelle revealed that Barack, 64, finds his youngest daughter “more difficult” when it comes to parenting.
“I say this to Barack: When it comes to Malia,[our]oldest, she’s going to figure out who you are and what you like, and let’s talk about it,” Michelle said at the time, adding that it was an “unusual” trait in a teenager.
“When Maria was a teenager, she didn’t go out a lot or do anything different,” Michelle says. “She said to me, ‘I’m going out this weekend, but I’m going to come in and give my dad about 15 minutes.'”
However, unlike Malia, Michelle compared Sasha to a “cat”.
“She was like, ‘Don’t touch me, don’t pet me. I’m not pleasing you. You’re coming to me,'” Michelle explained. She added that Barack called Sasha “difficult” and Michelle explained that her younger daughter is not a “people pleaser” like her eldest son.
Michelle added that parents have to “become chameleons” and adapt to different temperaments.
