Police have been investigating the kidnapping of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother since February 1, and one of the biggest leads so far has finally been made public.
Photos of people of interest in the search for Nancy Guthrie were released in X by FBI Director Kash Patel on February 10th.
Along with the photo, Patel released the following message:
New images in Nancy Guthrie search:
Over the past eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Office have been working closely with private sector partners to recover images and video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, destroyed, or otherwise inaccessible due to a variety of factors, including the removal of recording devices. This video was recovered from residual data on the backend system.
Working with our partners – as of this morning, law enforcement has discovered these new, previously inaccessible images showing an armed individual who appears to have tampered with Nancy Guthrie’s front door camera on the morning of her disappearance.
Anyone with information is asked to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit http://tips.fbi.gov.

Nancy Guthrie was first reported missing on February 1 after missing a virtual church service, NBC News reported. The story gained national attention due to Savannah Guthrie’s status as a prominent media figure and her colleagues at “Today” reporting updates during her vacation.
On Monday, Savannah Guthrie posted a new video on social media saying, “We believe our mom is still out there and we need your help. Law enforcement is working around the clock to bring her home. We’re trying to find her. She’s been taken and we don’t know where she is. And we need your help.”
“So I’m just here to ask for your prayers, wherever you are, even if you’re far from Tuscon,” she continued. “If you see something, hear anything, or see anything strange, please call law enforcement. We are in a desperate situation and need your help.”
