Lady Gaga paid tribute to Bad Bunny after her Super Bowl halftime show performance. She thanked the Puerto Rican rapper for inviting her as a surprise guest, writing, “So humbled to be a part of this moment.” Bad Bunny made history as the first solo male Latin artist to headline the show.

Lady Gaga was one of Bad Bunny’s surprise guests at last night’s Super Bowl halftime show. The Mayhem singer appeared in a Lure flamenco-style dress and sang a salsa version of her song “Die With a Smile.” She and Bad Bunny danced together during a fun moment during his nearly 14-minute set.

The next afternoon, Gaga took to Instagram to express her gratitude for being a part of Bad Bunny’s historic performance and share a message to Bad Bunny. “Benito, thank you for including me in this powerful, important and meaningful performance,” she wrote. “I’m so honored to be a part of this moment, and it’s even more special because I was with you and your beautiful heart and music. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love to Benito, Ricky (guest star Martin), and the entire cast. Thank you @chloeandchenelle and @luar for my beautiful styling and fashion ❤️ All of your talent and love brought that beautiful dress to life.”

The star included some sweet behind-the-scenes photos of her and Bad Bunny from the night.

Their performance came a week after Gaga spoke to Entertainment Tonight about why she cried when the Puerto Rican rapper won Album of the Year at the Grammys.

“I’m so happy for him, and you know, what he means to people is so incredibly important,” she said. “He’s an incredible musician and a great human being. He’s an incredibly kind person, and I thought what he just said was incredibly important and incredibly uplifting. What’s going on in this country is incredibly heartbreaking, but we’re so lucky to have a leader like him who stands for truth and what’s right.”
