Andy Cohen isn’t known for his kumbaya attitude towards his opponents.
But lately, the Bravo marquee has suddenly felt called to heal old wounds, right long-forgotten wrongs, and end bitter feuds with former Real Housewives stars Carole Radziwill and Nene Leakes and her replacement as CNN’s New Year’s Eve host, Kathy Griffin.
Either Cohen was visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve. . . Or maybe there’s something else going on. One Bravo World source suggested the latter, noting that Leakes, Radziwill and Griffin all happen to have ties to a lawsuit filed by former Real Housewives star Leah McSweeney, which is currently before a judge.
“I’m telling you, he’s worried about the suit,” they surmised.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” star alleged in a 2024 filing that producers preyed on her alcoholism and intentionally tried to make her fall off the wagon in order to make ratings-winning television. (Bravo denies wrongdoing.)
The judge dismissed parts of her lawsuit, but left in place the majority of her case, including her claim that “the producers directly coerced and harassed[her]based on her[addiction].” The suit is the first filed by a former star against the station and is expected to be heard in open court.
In that lawsuit, McSweeney famously accused Cohen of doing cocaine with selected “housewives.” Griffin has publicly accused Cohen of using cocaine, and in 2017 claimed he called Cohen on an unspecified date before an appearance on his talk show. (Cohen denies all the cocaine charges.) Radziwill remained close to Cohen during most of the time associated with the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, Leakes, who sued Bravo for discrimination, is back working for the network without any public explanation as to how she came to be allowed to do so. “As previously stated, an external investigation was conducted into the allegations made by Leah McSweeney against Andy Cohen, and the allegations were found to be unfounded,” Bravo said.
