The Emmy Award-winning comedy “Schitt’s Creek” will be available to stream in its entirety on HBO Max starting Saturday, February 7th. This comes with the addition of the newly launched “Schitt’s Creek” playlist via the in-app “Channels” feature, providing subscribers with a seamless, continuous, on-demand feed of the series.

Created by Dan Levy and Eugene Levy, Schitt’s Creek ran for six seasons from 2015 to 2020 and gained a huge fan base obsessed with the antics of wealthy video store magnate Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy), his soap star wife Moira (Catherine O’Hara), and their two children, son David (Dan Levy) and socialite daughter Alexis (Annie Murphy). When you lose your property and suddenly become bankrupt.

The show aired on CBC in Canada and on cable TV’s Pop TV in the United States, but became a huge hit when it was distributed to Netflix. Over the course of six seasons, the show was nominated for 19 Emmy Awards and won nine times, seven of which came in the final season.

The addition to HBO Max comes in the wake of O’Hara’s death on January 30 at the age of 71. Known for her iconic roles in films such as “Home Alone,” “Best in Show,” and “Beetlejuice,” she made a career comeback with her role as Moira Rose in “Schitt’s Creek.” She won an Emmy Award for this role in 2020.

“Words seem inadequate to express the sense of loss I feel today,” Eugene Levy wrote in the wake of O’Hara’s death. “I had the pleasure of knowing and working with the great Catherine O’Hara for more than 50 years. From the Second City stage to SCTV, films with Chris Guest, and six glorious years on Schitt’s Creek, I cherished our working relationship, but above all our friendship. And I will miss her dearly. My heart goes out to Beau, Matthew, Luke and the entire O’Hara family.”

Created by Dan Levy and Eugene Levy, “Schitt’s Creek” is produced by Not a Real Company Productions. Licensed from Paramount Global Content Distribution and ITV Studios. The series is also available for streaming on Prime Video and Hulu.
