Selena Gomez did not attend the Grammy Awards afterparty with Benny Blanco. The star held the event on Saturday night and posted photos of it on her Instagram Story on Sunday. Blanco was photographed at Saint Laurent’s Grammys afterparty, which was also attended by Rosé, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish and Gomez’s ex Justin Bieber.
Neither Selena Gomez nor her husband Benny Blanco attended the 2026 Grammy Awards. The couple was nominated for Best Dance-Pop Recording for their song “Bluest Flame” from their album I Said I Love You First, which was announced during the pre-show. However, the afterparty was a different story.

Meanwhile, Gomez was not photographed at any of the parties. The singer appears to have taken a night off after celebrating the release of Rare Beauty’s Ulta Beauty this weekend. She hosted an event for the brand on Saturday and shared an Instagram Story of the event on Sunday night.
Gomez and Blanco made their first public date of 2026 at the Golden Globe Awards last month. After the broadcast, the newlyweds did not go to the afterparty, but instead enjoyed dinner with Gomez’s co-stars from “Murder in the Building.” She shared a glimpse of their meal on her Instagram Story.
Gomez has been intentionally prioritizing acting these days. In an Apple Music interview in November, she revealed that she was “a little tired” of life as a pop star.
“I think what you get from film or television or any kind of performative creativity that isn’t really music is a different feeling that can’t be explained other than a connection to the characters,” she explained. “I empathize with the character’s pain, I empathize with the character’s joy and their relationships, their mothers and fathers. And all of that is so interesting to me, being able to jump into other people’s worlds. But when you put yourself out there and it’s just you, it can be a little scary. And I think I was a little tired of that.”
She also mentioned the performative nature of the job, especially during concerts. “Sometimes I’m not good at it,” she admitted. “I can do acting-type things, but I’m not good at pretending on stage either. I once performed thinking I looked like a pop star, and I remember thinking, ‘Actually, all of that looks so awkward because it can’t be the opposite of who I am.’ But it’s performative, and I don’t know if I’d ever want to entertain again.”
