Catherine O’Hara looked frail in her last public appearance, three months before her tragic death at the age of 71.
The “Home Alone” star was all smiles while posing with several guests at the 2025 Angel Awards held at the Proper Hotel Santa Monica in Los Angeles last October.
She wore a chic green striped pantsuit with a black button-up shirt underneath.
O’Hara looked chipper as she posed on the red carpet with husband Beau Welch in a blue blazer and beige pants.
An attendee at the ceremony told the Daily Mail that the actress “looked very slender” and said “it was noticeable”.
“Her face was mostly haggard, but she still looked very pretty,” the source added. “She was a striking-looking woman with a touch of charm, which she hid in a bulky suit with green pinstripes.”
“But she seemed to be in great spirits and was a very friendly, cheerful and lovely person,” the source continued.
The award honors Los Angeles chefs who are helping by delivering meals to people “facing serious and life-threatening illnesses,” according to the Project Angel Food website.
A representative for Mr. O’Hara could not be reached for comment to Page Six.
O’Hara died Friday at her home in Los Angeles after a short illness, her agency told Page Six.
Page Six has exclusively learned that the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call to the “Schitt’s Creek” alum’s home at around 4:48 a.m. after she experienced “difficulty breathing.” She was taken to hospital in “serious” condition.
The cause of death has not been released, but O’Hara previously suffered from right heart syndrome with inverse sitting, a rare birth defect in which “the organs of the chest and abdomen are positioned as mirror images of normal human anatomy,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Until her death, the “Beetlejuice” star was scheduled to film season 2 of “The Studio.”
However, she withdrew from the project a few days before her death.
Several actors paid tribute to O’Hara, including her “Beetlejuice” co-star Alec Baldwin and her son Macaulay Culkin, who appeared on screen in “Home Alone.”
She leaves behind her husband and two children, Matthew, 31, and Luke, 29.
