He’s going to blow the roof off the place!
Page Six has heard that Tim Dillon, a regular on Joe Rogan’s comic fanzine, wants to film his next special on Skid Row.
Comedy industry insiders say Dillon, who already has three specials on Netflix, is trying to grapple with the realities of filming in a notoriously homeless area of Los Angeles.
“That’s what he wants to do,” a source said. “I think he just thinks it’s a fun thing to do.”
The downtown district, which spans 50 city blocks, seems to appeal to him.
He suggested to a friend on his podcast that he should do a “Bachelor” style show with local women, and on another show he said he thought Los Angeles should consider it as an asset.
“Let’s be proud of that. Let’s say, ‘This is the number one homeless destination in the world. Now I take my friends when they visit Skid Row, and I’m proud of that. I’m like, ‘There’s 10,000 people here!’ ”
In his last special, “Tim Dillon: I’m Your Mom,” he even joked about taking his friends for a drive around the area as a Halloween activity.
“People were rushing towards cars.[My friend]said, ‘I could die,’ and I thought, ‘I could definitely die!'” he said.
He also has a taste for non-traditional specialties.
His 2024 Netflix special, “Tim Dillon: This Is Your Country,” was an unscripted, Jerry Springer-style talk show in which he spoke to “ordinary Americans” about current events.
Dillon is one of the comics, along with Shane Gillis and Theo Fung, to become associated with influential podcaster Logan. Mr. Dillon also became friends with Secretary of Health Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Mr. Dillon and his representatives did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
