Teddi Mellencamp is undergoing therapy to process his experiences while battling cancer.
“I think it’s taking a toll on my body,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum told Tamra Judge on Tuesday’s episode of her podcast “Two Ts in a Pod,” adding that she is “currently undergoing treatment” to deal with the aftermath of her melanoma diagnosis in 2022 and the discovery of her brain tumor in 2025.
Mellencamp also said that her emergency surgery was not “handled properly,” that she was unable to see her children for long periods of time, and that she divorced her husband, Edwin Arroyave, after 13 years of marriage.
Additionally, she faces the rigors of immunotherapy.
“I learned that there are certain things, like being difficult to touch and move,” she explained. “I find myself slower than before, which is very frustrating.
Mellencamp, 44, said she wants to “get back to where I was” before her tragic diagnosis.
The reality TV star also addressed claims that her father John Mellencamp has been “struggling” recently, sparking a new wave of concern among fans.
“You know, when he said the word ‘suffering,’ I think he meant something like my state of mind and state of mind.”
Physically, I’m fine,” she told the judge, noting that while there is “no evidence of cancer yet,” the mother of three is “still considered stage 4” and continues to receive immunotherapy.
The “Jack and Diane” singer, 74, appeared on the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast earlier this month and said his daughter with ex-wife Victoria Granucci was “very sick.”
“It’s not fucking fun,” the Grammy-winning hitmaker said. “She has cancer in her brain and is suffering right now.”
Teddy then revealed on his podcast that he’s been “resting a lot and playing with my family a lot.”
“Apparently I’m battling severe PTSD from everything that happened,” she added. “And I didn’t really realize it.”
John later appeared on the “Today” show and confessed that he was “trying to convince her” to move from Los Angeles to Indiana so he could support her, but the Bravolebrity “didn’t do that.”
And in an interview with People magazine this month, he said his daughter has been “going through hell this past year” and has “changed her personality” during her ongoing battle.
“The lesions are still there, but the cancer is not present,” he told the magazine. “But that doesn’t mean she’s free to go home. It just means she’s cancer-free at this point. So she’ll have to continue this treatment for many years.”
After first being diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in 2022, the reality star underwent more than 15 surgeries to deal with the disease, and then underwent emergency surgery in 2025 to remove several tumors in her brain.
In October 2025, the TV personality revealed that the cancer that had spread to her lungs was gone.
“I’m not considered to be in remission or anything like that,” she said on the podcast at the time. “When (doctors) say it works, it’s like after a year, two years, three years it’s considered remission.”
Teddy’s estranged husband recently acknowledged Teddy’s claims that he is having a hard time as he continues to undergo treatment.
“She’s on immunotherapy, but that alone causes side effects,” he said. “It was very tough on her mental health.”
