“And there’s nothing like a crazy woman.”
Taylor Swift is reportedly furious over the release of her private texts with Blake Lively, ever since she was embroiled in a legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
“Honestly, it’s been really tough for Taylor,” a source told Us Weekly on Monday. “When her emails were made public, she felt exposed and sort of violated, like her private life suddenly wasn’t her own anymore.
“That’s something she doesn’t like.”
Page Six has reached out to Swift’s representatives for comment.
Last week, ahead of a summary judgment hearing, a judge unsealed several text messages between Swift and Lively, the contents of which revealed the pop star’s true feelings for Baldoni and a “change” in the friendship between her and the “Gossip Girl” alum.
One court document obtained by Page Six shows Swift texting Lively ahead of a bombshell New York Times article alleging that Baldoni, Lively’s director and Seraph of the End co-star, had waged a smear campaign against the Green Lantern star.
According to the documents, Swift, 36, texted Lively, 38, saying, “This woman pulled out a little violin so I think she knows something is going to happen.”
Another document revealed a tense exchange between the former best friends, in which they discussed their changing friendship.
The personal conversation began with Lively “checking in” with Swift to ask if “everything was okay,” as she had been feeling like a “bad friend” to Swift recently.
Lively went on to tell the Grammy winner that while she was a “key person” in her public feud with Baldoni, she felt “something may have gone wrong.”
About an hour later, Swift responded: “No, you’re not wrong, but it’s not that big of a deal.” She also admitted that she’s noticed a “little change” in Lively’s way of speaking in recent months.
While Swift recognized how “all-consuming” Lively’s legal battle with Baldoni was, she told her that some of her last messages “felt like[she]was reading a bunch of corporate emails sent to 200 employees.”
Swift claimed that Lively wasn’t acting like her usual self, and said she missed “my funny, dark, normally speaking friends who spoke to me as myself, not plural.”
The “Oparite” songstress assured her friend that she doesn’t need to “apologize” and just “wants her back.”
Lively admitted that Swift was “right” and a few more texts seemed to resolve the issue.
However, in October 2025, a source told Page Six that Swift and Lively “have had no contact” since their dispute began last winter.
Another source exclusively told Page Six last year that Swift felt “used” by Lively throughout her drama with Baldoni, 42.
Rumors of a feud between Lively and Baldoni surfaced after It Ends With Us premiered in New York in August 2024.
Four months later, Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni, and later filed a formal lawsuit.
Baldoni denied any wrongdoing and responded with a $400 million countersuit, which was later dismissed. Lively’s lawsuit is still ongoing.
