David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have reflected on the “good memories” they have with their son in their first public comments since Brooklyn Beckham’s bombshell comments.
The two stars commented on British photographer Plato’s Instagram post on Friday, where he shared two throwback photos of David, 50.
In the first photo, taken in 2006, David can be seen standing with his back to the camera, showing off tattoos with the names of his children Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn.
“Good memories,” the former soccer star wrote under the photographer’s post.
“Brings back great memories!” Victoria, 51, agreed in her own comment.
A photographer has apparently shared a throwback photo after Brooklyn spoke out about her family’s ongoing feud.
“Victoria arrived with Brooklyn, 7, Romeo, 4, and baby Cruz. Brooklyn and Romeo stormed into the studio in football kits, kicking the ball and doing tricks like headers,” Plato captioned the post, explaining some of the background behind the photo.
“I started working with David while Victoria was busy taking care of the kids. At one point, Brooklyn ran on set with a soccer ball under her arm and hugged her father’s right leg. Romeo then joined his brother.”
“Then Victoria also showed up with baby Cruz in her arms. The whole family turned away from us for a private and heartfelt group hug. It was a touching experience for everyone to see, with this spontaneous moment of affection happening on a giant photo set in front of 60 people,” the caption continued.
“Celebrity comes at a high price, and it’s often the families who pay the price.”
Plato went on to pay tribute to David, noting that viewers can still see David’s “love for children tattooed on his back.”
Brooklyn, 26, shocked the internet on Monday when he publicly said he “doesn’t want to reconcile with his family” and accused them of fabricating “a million lies” in an attempt to “ruin” his relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz.
Among the parents’ list of crimes against the young couple is that Victoria claimed she “couldn’t stand” Peltz, 31, long before her 2022 wedding to Brooklyn, and that she abandoned plans to make Peltz’s wedding dress at the last minute.
He also claimed that Peltz’s mother “hijacked” Peltz’s wedding dance and that she danced “highly inappropriately” on top of Peltz, a “deeply hurtful” stunt that left the hot sauce entrepreneur “humiliated.”
David and Victoria have yet to comment directly on their eldest son’s comments. However, David made vague comments about his children’s “mistakes” during an appearance on “Squawk Box” on Tuesday morning.
“They make mistakes, but kids are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how kids learn,” he said at the time.
“That’s what I try to teach my kids,” David continued. “Sometimes you have to let them make those mistakes.”
