Victoria Beckham’s “inappropriate” dance with son Brooklyn Beckham at her wedding to Nicola Peltz was apparently made even more exciting by another “awkward” moment.
DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the couple’s wedding in Florida in April 2022, was also the DJ at the welcome party the night before and brunch the next day.
Appearing on British show This Morning on Friday, Tony, 60, described the brunch as the “most awkward part” of the three days. Because “everything that happened on the actual wedding night was discussed with all the guests the next morning.”
Earlier this week, Brooklyn, 26, posted a surprising statement on her Instagram Story about her estrangement from her family.
In part, she claimed that her mother “hijacked” her first dance with Peltz, 31, at their wedding reception and then did a “highly inappropriate dance” on top of her, which made Peltz “uncomfortable” and “humiliating.”
“Marc Anthony called me on stage in front of 500 wedding guests. The schedule was for a romantic dance with my wife, but instead he waited for my mother to dance with me,” he told his followers in a poignant upload.
Tony corroborated those claims in an interview, detailing that after Anthony called Brooklyn on stage, “everyone was expecting Nicola to go up and have the first dance.”
Instead, the Puerto Rican singer asked “the most beautiful woman in the room to come on stage,” followed by Victoria’s name.
Tony said Brooklyn was immediately “shocked” when the Spice Girls-turned-fashion designer, who was nearby, came on stage and Peltz “left the room in tears.”
The Grammy winner then coached the mother-son duo on how to dance, allegedly telling Brooklyn to “put your hands on[her mother’s]hips.”
Tony acknowledged that the proposal was likely just a “Latin thing” but stressed that it was still a “very awkward” situation for “everyone there”.
Despite the internet’s interpretation of what “inappropriate” means, Tony clarified that Victoria, 51, is not “dropping a slut,” wearing a “PVC catsuit,” or exhibiting “Spice Girl-like behavior.”
In fact, a source recently said Victoria “put her arm around Brooklyn” and “snuggling into his neck.”
Tony explained that he has deejayed at “a lot of Beckham parties in the past” and stressed that they “love dancing” and are “a very dance-loving, close-knit family”.
However, he defended Brooklyn’s use of the word “inappropriate,” saying it was his decision because “it’s all about how Brooklyn feels.”
Tony also said, “It takes a lot of effort for someone to go on social media and make a statement against a relative.”
“He wanted to change the narrative,” Tony theorized, noting that Brooklyn has been labeled an ungrateful nepobaby.
Victoria has not publicly addressed her eldest son’s allegations.
She and her husband David Beckham are also parents to sons Romeo Beckham, 23, and Cruz Beckham, 20, and daughter Harper Beckham, 14.
