It has been announced that eight new actors will appear as guest stars in the Amazon Prime Video TV series “Barbershop.”

New additions include Zach Fox (“Abbott Elementary,” “The Vince Staples Show”) as Councilman Warren; Ego Nwodim (“Saturday Night Live,” “Poker Face”) as Shelly Ann. Diallo Riddle (“Southside,” “Sherman’s Showcase”) plays Pastor DeVante. Jiwe (“Jiwe”, “Dickinson”) as Abi. Tituss Burgess (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “Schmigadoon”) plays Juan Grylls. Comedian CP (“Sunday After Six,” “How to Die Alone”) plays Marvin. Devon Walker (“Saturday Night Live,” “Big Mouth”) plays Southside Swole. Belmont Cameli (“Saved by the Bell,” “The Altonites”) plays Shep.

The new additions join series regulars Jermaine Fowler, Brett Gray, Punky Johnson, Roy Wood Jr., and EJ Bonilla. Recurring cast members include Bokeem Woodbine, Bresha Webb, Langston Carman, and Tiana Okoye.

According to the official logline, the show follows Travis “Trav” Porter (Fowler) as he “seeks to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, a legendary barber at Chicago’s iconic barbershop Calvin’s Barber Shop. Although the barbers are new, the shop is still lively, the customers are still as conversational, and Fade is still the dopest in town, because at Calvin’s the community comes together for more than just haircuts.

Marshall Todd, co-writer of the original film, is writing, executive producing, and co-screening the series. Max Searle will also serve as executive producer and co-showrunner. Kevin Hart, Brian Smiley, and Mike Stein will serve as executive producers through their Heartbeat Productions, with Busy B Entertainment’s Bradley Gardner, Prominent Productions’ Cameron Burnett and Autumn Bailey-Ford, and State Street Pictures’ George Tillman Jr. and Robert Teitel serving as executive producers. Tiffany Brown will serve as co-executive producer of Heartbeat. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.

Fox is repped by WME, Elixr Global and Cohen & Silver. Nwodim is repped by CAA, OPE Partners, The Initiative Group and Hansen Jacobson. Riddle is represented by CAA. Ziwe is represented by Ocean Avenue, UTA and Sloane Offer. Burgess is repped by CAA, Artists First and Peikoff/Mahan. Comedian CP is represented by Artists First, Innovative Artists, and Yorn Levine. Walker is repped by WME. Cameli will be represented by Gersh.
