The 2026 Oscar nominations were announced Thursday morning, kicking off the final stretch of Hollywood’s long awards season.
Daniel Brooks (The Color Purple) and Lewis Pullman (The Thunderbolts*) read Liszt at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences headquarters in Beverly Hills, California.
“Sinners” led the pack with 16 nominations, making it the most nominated film in Oscar history.
At just 30 years old, Timothée Chalamet made his third acting appearance in “Marty Supreme,” following “Call Me by Your Name” and “Completely Unknown,” alongside Julie Andrews, Faye Dunaway, and Ralph Fiennes.
Meanwhile, Jessie Buckley, who was nominated for Best Actress for her role in Hamnet, won for the first time.
Late night host and podcaster Conan O’Brien will return for a second time to host the lavish ceremony at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theater.
This funny guy tried his hand at acting last year in the psychological drama “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.” I’m sure it worked. Her co-star Rose Byrne is nominated for Best Actress.
The 98th Academy Awards ceremony will be broadcast on ABC on Sunday, March 15th at 7pm.
