Netflix has announced production plans for Türkiye in 2026. Highlights include the long-awaited series adaptation of Turkish Nobel Prize-winning author Orhan Pamuk’s acclaimed book “The Museum of Innocence” and several other high-end programs with international reach.
The previously announced nine-episode “Museum of Innocence” series will be released on Netflix on February 13th and begins in 1970s Istanbul, where a wealthy man named Kemal develops romantic feelings for a young shopkeeper named Fusun, who is a distant and poor relative. Their romance unfolds over a decade against the backdrop of a changing city, after which, as the synopsis states, he spends the rest of his life building a museum in her memory, containing “her lover’s earrings, hair clips, and even discarded cigarette butts.”
Directed by Zeynep Günay, “Museum of Innocence” was written by Ertan Kulturan and produced by Turkish television mogul Ay Yapum, known for international hit series such as the International Emmy Award-winning series “Endless Love,” “Fatmaglu,” “Ezer,” and “Forbidden Love.”
Other standout new Turkish titles on Netflix that have not been announced so far include:
— “Seni Tanıyorum” series. Written by Tugava Doan (Hepimizu Birimizu Ishin), directed by Mert Baikal (Hot Skull), and produced by Bonbon Studio. The synopsis reads, “After taking a break from painting after giving birth, Funda finds the nanny she’s been looking for.” “But Nazul’s mysterious and disturbing nature begins to change the lives of Hunda and her husband Ilkel forever. What begins as a simple encounter turns into a long-running game that tests their respective loyalties and desires.”
— “Sonra Gözler Görür” is a series written by Ece Yörenç (“Fallen Leaves,” “Forbidden Love”), directed by Bertan Basharan (“Shahmaran”), and produced by Ay Yapim. “A quiet coastal town is shaken by the mysterious death of a young girl. When a prominent journalist returns years later to the place where she grew up to investigate the case, her search uncovers not just the killer, but long-buried secrets and the truth about her own past,” the synopsis reads.
2026 new releases of Netflix Turkey’s existing popular original programming include new seasons of “Ethos,” “Money Trap,” “Thank You, Next,” “Another Self,” and “Graveyard.”
