All is well between Kim Kardashian and longtime friend Jonathan “Foodgod” Cheban.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 45, appeared on her sister Khloe’s podcast Khloe in Wonderland on Wednesday, January 21, and opened up about her famous friendship with Cheban, 51, and addressed speculation that the pair had a falling out.
Early in her career, Kim first recalled Cheban helping her pose for paparazzi snaps before telling Khloe: “I love Jonathan, you should call him.”
As she pulled out her cell phone to call him, the SKIMS founder pointed out: “I think people think we don’t talk.” The two sisters then FaceTimed Cheban, who responded from dinner in Miami.
After getting off the phone, Kim told Khloe, 41, “Jonathan and I are good friends,” before explaining, “The thing is, I had a child.” Kim has daughters North, 12, Chicago, 8, sons Saint, 10, and son Psalm, 6, with ex-husband Kanye West.

“It’s really hard to maintain friendships when you have kids,” Kim said, detailing the differences in their lifestyles. “Jonathan isn’t going to come to Calabasas and sit all day. He’s moving around like he always does.”
Khloe added: “Especially if the other person doesn’t have kids.”
“It’s not like you can have a playdate with the kids, I get that,” Chloe said. “We love Jonathan. There’s a lot of history there.”

Almost a year before Kim debunked the rumors, Cheban denied the claims in a March 2025 interview with Us Weekly, sharing similar sentiments with Kim about their different lifestyles.
“I mean, she has a lot of kids and a lot of things to do. And I’m on the (East) coast all the time, so yeah, we don’t see each other much, but we talk all the time, and if something comes up that I think we should talk about, I send it right away.”
“It’s so funny to watch this piece because we’re friends and we talk all the time,” he said, adding that they are “definitely” still close friends, “We’ll remain friends forever, and it’s fun.”
