Ashley Tisdale French, Lucas Grabeel, and Monique Coleman are still together.

Twenty years after the release of High School Musical, Tisdale French, 40, Grabeel, 40, and Coleman, 45, attended a commemorative event celebrating the film series that launched their careers at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. Tisdale French, who played songstress Sharpay Evans in the hit musical film, shared several photos from the event on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, January 20th.

Tisdale-French posed for photos on the HSM-themed carpet with Grabeel, who played his on-screen brother Ryan Evans, and Coleman, who played the brainy Taylor Mackesy. “Reunion,” Tisdale-French captioned the photo, along with a red heart emoji.

The Phineas and Ferb alum also shared a photo of a handwritten sign that reads “HSM 20, EHS” alongside a paw print logo representing East High School’s fictional mascot, the Wildcats.

In another photo, Tisdale French is wearing a pink graduation cap from High School Musical 3: Senior Year. “It still fits!” she wrote.

Her daughter Jupiter Iris French, 4, accompanied her mother to the celebration. Jupiter wore a hot pink dress with gold star detailing and matching gold accessories. The little one posed for a photo with Tisdale French in Sharpay’s famous pink golf cart in High School Musical 2. Tisdale French captioned the post, “Jupiter ain’t got me high.”

Jupiter also took photos at an HSM-themed photo booth.

In a TikTok video shared in May 2025, Tisdale French revealed that Jupiter doesn’t watch enough High School Musical.

“She never stops listening to music. There’s music playing in the house right now. When I’m walking with her, she asks me to play it. When I’m in the car, she asks me to play it. Specifically, High School Musical 2,” Tisdale-French said at the time.

early Tuesday. Tisdale French shared a video of himself trying on an old HSM outfit. “You can take the girl out of East High School…but you can’t take Sharpei out of the girl,” Tisdale-French wrote in a video of herself striding down the halls of a storage room in various shades of Sharpei’s pink wardrobe.

“20 years later and two babies later, I’m still working hard on this,” she wrote in the caption.

High School Musical premiered on Disney Channel on January 20, 2006 and became an overnight success, becoming the channel’s most commercially successful original film, drawing 7.7 million viewers in its premiere. The film’s soundtrack reached number one on the Billboard 200 and remained on the list for over 100 weeks.

The film’s iconic dance numbers were choreographed by Kenny Ortega, and the film centers on basketball star Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and academically gifted freshman Gabriela Montez (Vanessa Hudgens). The two meet for the first time at karaoke on New Year’s Eve, and are reunited when Gabriella unexpectedly transfers to East High School. Then, the drama and athletic clubs are shaken up by an unlikely duo’s audition for a musical.

Sequels followed in 2007 and 2008. Tisdale-French also starred in the 2011 spinoff Sharpay’s Excellent Adventure, and Disney+ is home to High School Musical: The Movie: The Series, which aired from 2019 to 2023.
