Nelson Peltz: Nicola’s billionaire father
Nelson was born June 24, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, to Jewish parents Claire and Maurice Peltz.
The youngest of three children, Nelson graduated from Horace Mann School in the Bronx and attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He dropped out before graduation to become a ski instructor and then went to work for his grandfather’s wholesale food business, A. Peltz & Sons.
Nelson and his brother Robert grew the family food distribution business into a publicly traded company with sales of approximately $150 million under the Flagstaff name. He then bought a stake in Triangle Industries, a vending machine and wire company, building it into one of the world’s largest packaging companies and a Fortune 100 industrial company, which he sold in 1988.
In 1997, Nelson’s investment firm, Triark Companies, Inc., acquired Snapple from Quaker Oats. Three years later, the drinks brand was sold to Cadbury Schweppes for approximately $1.45 billion.
He co-founded Trian Partners, an alternative investment management fund with assets of $7.15 billion as of 2026. The firm has invested in companies such as Heinz, Cadbury, Kraft Foods, Wendy’s, PepsiCo, and Procter & Gamble.
According to Forbes magazine, Nelson has a net worth of $1.6 billion.
Claudia Hefner Peltz: Nicola’s model mother
Claudia was born on March 12, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Born into a relatively poor family, Claudia began her career as a model in the late 1970s, concentrating on editorial and advertising work.
Claudia has been featured in prestigious publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Cosmopolitan. She also modeled for commercial brands such as Revlon, L’Oréal, Calvin Klein, and Chanel.
After marrying Nelson in 1985, the fashionista retired from her modeling career and turned her focus to philanthropy. With her husband, she co-founded the Nelson and Claudia Peltz Family Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation that supports education, health care, environmental and youth development initiatives.
She also focused on raising her family.

Besides their eldest daughter Nicola, Nelson and Claudia have seven children: Matthew, Will, Brad, Brittany, Diesel, Zachary and Gregory.
Nelson has two other children from his first marriage to Cynthia Abrams, whom he was married to from 1964 to 1981.
Like his father, Matthew became a financier and works for Trian Fund Management. He is also a non-executive vice chairman of Wendy’s.

The fusion of Peltz and the Beckham family
Brooklyn married Nicola in 2022 in star-studded Palm Beach, Florida, and was welcomed into the Peltz family.
The Cloud 23 Hot Sauce founder, who started dating Nicola in 2019, began a feud with her parents after their marriage.
Brooklyn admitted in a January 2026 Instagram statement that she had no plans to reconcile with David and Victoria.
“I have been silent for years and have made every effort to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn wrote in a lengthy social media post at the time.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team continue to appear in the press and I have no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
Brooklyn confirmed an earlier report from Page Six that Victoria hijacked her first dance with Nicola at their wedding. He also claimed that his mother danced inappropriately on him in front of guests, adding that he felt “humiliated.”
Brooklyn claimed the designer was supposed to make Nicola’s wedding dress, but her dress came off at the “11th hour”.
The aspiring chef appears to have missed major family events since then. He also told his mother and father that he could only contact them through his lawyer.

Nelson and Claudia took Brooklyn into custody after he became estranged from his parents.
Brooklyn celebrated Christmas 2025 with her in-laws and joined the Peltz family on several lavish family vacations. Nelson also served as master of ceremonies when Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows in August 2025.
Brooklyn showed her love for her father-in-law by posting a photo of her with her father-in-law on Instagram in July 2025.
He also appears to have a deep bond with Nicola’s siblings, often attending events with them.
