Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made their first public appearance in 2026, but they didn’t appear on the red carpet. Instead, the singer and the former Canadian prime minister were photographed holding hands at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, earlier today. Mr. Perry wore a tan cardigan and matching tan pencil skirt, while Mr. Trudeau wore a navy suit.
The appearance at the high-profile political event comes about two weeks after Perry revealed the couple traveled together on vacation. In her Instagram roundup, she posted a photo of them kissing in a tropical location.
On Dec. 31, a source told Us Weekly that Perry and Trudeau plan to spend New Year’s together. “They are so in love and obsessed with each other,” the source said, adding that Perry is “really inspired” by Trudeau. “(She) is impressed with his accomplishments. He’s a perfect fit for her.”
The two were first linked in July when they were photographed on a date in Montreal. A few months later, in October, a source close to Perry told People that Perry never expected their relationship to progress this far.
“Dating Justin was something she never imagined, but she’s really enjoying this amazing turn of her life,” the source said.
The source elaborated on the amount of time Trudeau has spent pursuing their romance, saying, “She’s been focused on the[Lifetimes]tour and Justin has literally made a real effort to meet her where she’s at. She’s honored. He’s committed and shows that he really cares about spending time with her. It’s clear he values the connection and so does Katie. She’s in a great position.”
