Brooklyn Beckham isn’t holding back.
The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham broke his silence about their family’s longstanding feud in a bombshell statement shared on his Instagram Story on Monday.
Among the post’s shocking claims was Brooklyn’s claim that her mother “danced very inappropriately” on top of her during her wedding to Nicola Peltz in April 2022.
“My mom hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned for weeks to a romantic love song,” Brooklyn, 26, wrote, confirming Page Six’s previous reporting on the matter.
“Marc Anthony called me on stage in front of 500 wedding guests. The schedule was for a romantic dance with my wife, but instead I waited for my mother to dance with me.”
He added: “She danced on me very inappropriately in front of everyone. I have never felt so uncomfortable or humiliated in my life.”
Brooklyn went on to write that she and Nicola, 31, “wanted to renew their vows and create new memories that would bring joy and happiness, rather than ‘anxiety and embarrassment’ on their wedding day.”
The couple renewed their vows on August 2, 2025, in an intimate ceremony at the Peltz family home in Palm Beach, Florida. The ceremony was officiated by Nicola’s father, but neither Brooklyn’s parents nor siblings attended.
But Brooklyn’s claim that his mother “danced very inappropriately” on him during Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding wasn’t the only shocking claim he made in Monday’s lengthy statement.
Brooklyn claimed that Nicola had been “consistently disrespected” by the Beckhams “no matter how hard we tried to stick together”, before going on to claim that her mother regularly brought her ex-girlfriend over, making him and Nicola “uncomfortable”.
“My mother has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable,” he claimed.
Elsewhere in his post, Brooklyn claimed that Victoria, 51, “cancelled Nicola’s (wedding) dress making at the 11th hour” and that both Victoria and David “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe” him to “relinquish the right to sign” his name ahead of his and Nicola’s wedding.
“My patience affected my payday and they have never treated me the same way since,” Brooklyn wrote.
“During the wedding planning, my mother even called me a ‘bad person’. Nicola and I decided to invite our nanny Sandra and Nicola Nauni to the table because neither of us had husbands,” he added. “Both of our parents had their own tables, adjacent to ours as well.”
David’s 50th birthday party in May was star-studded, but Brooklyn insisted he and Nicola weren’t intentionally absent. Instead, they allegedly “traveled to London” for a party, but were “rejected for a week as they waited in a hotel room trying to plan some quality time with him.”
Ms Brooklyn claimed that the soccer legend “refused all attempts for us to meet” and that “when he finally agreed to meet me” it was “with the condition that he did not invite Nicola”.
“It was a slap in the face,” Brooklyn recalled. “Then when my family traveled to Los Angeles, they refused to see me at all.”
As for why Brooklyn chose to break his silence about his ongoing feud with the Beckham family, he said he has “been silent for years” and has “made every effort” to keep the matter private.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team continue to appear in front of the press and I have no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” he explained.
“I don’t want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled and I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn ended his post by saying, “The theory that my wife controls me is completely contradictory,” and that he has been “controlled by my parents for most of my life.”
“I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, that anxiety disappeared after I was separated from my family. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I have chosen and feel peace and relief,” he explained.
“My wife and I do not want a life shaped by images, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy, and happiness for ourselves and our future families.”
Representatives for David and Victoria did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
There have been rumors of tension in the Beckham family ever since Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot almost four years ago, but tensions have escalated over the last year.
Brooklyn warned his parents earlier this month to only contact him through his lawyer, and a source told Page Six that Brooklyn made the surprising decision “after[his]constant attempts to set boundaries were ignored.”
“Nicola will always support his decisions,” another source told Page Six. “If Brooklyn ever wants to see his family, Nicola will support him.”
