Caitlyn Jenner has commented for the first time on Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s date.
She seems to support this relationship.
Chalamet recently recognized Kylie in his acceptance speech.
In a video shared by TMZ on January 15, Caitlyn Jenner can be heard sharing her thoughts on the relationship between her daughter Kylie Jenner and boyfriend Timothee Chalamet. Caitlyn made her first comment about the relationship when reporters asked her about the couple at Los Angeles International Airport.
“I just want my daughter to be happy, and she’s happy, and I like that,” the Olympian said. “He’s a good kid and he’s really good with Kylie, and more importantly.”
She also called him a “phenomenal actor.”
Kylie and Chalamet rarely reveal much about their relationship, but in January, the Marty Supreme star made a few public declarations to Kylie during his acceptance speech as awards season got underway. First, he mentioned her at the Critics Choice Film Awards, saying, “And finally, I want to thank my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
A week later at the Golden Globe Awards, Chalamet was victorious again and spoke again.
At the end of his speech, Chalamet said, “I love my parents and my partner. Thank you so much.” Some in the audience could see Kylie mouthing the words “I love you” back to Kylie on stage.
The couple has been spending a lot of time apart lately, as Chalamet has been filming all over the world. On Dec. 31, a source told People magazine, “She visited Budapest several times in the fall when he was busy with work. They spent a lot of time apart, but they’ve made up for it in recent weeks. Still, their relationship never stopped. It’s not easy. They’re both incredibly focused on their careers and ambitious. She’s running a big business and raising kids, and he’s very focused on being the best at what he does.”
The source added, “They are successful in their careers and at the same time, their relationships are also going well.”
