TV giant Banjiay and All3Media owner RedBirdIMI are reportedly in talks to merge their TV production businesses.
According to Reuters, sources familiar with the matter said the two are in talks to merge Banijay’s entertainment and life division with All 3 Media, which produces “The Traitors”.
If this happens, the combined organization would become one of the world’s largest production groups, overseeing numerous subsidiaries and a vast library of titles including “Big Brother,” “Peaky Blinders,” and “Race Across the World.”
Banijay and All3 Media declined to comment.
The talks, aimed at countering the streaming giant’s growing dominance, began towards the end of 2025 after Banijay stopped pursuing ITV Studios, according to the report. He said negotiations were at an “advanced stage” but no agreement had been reached and there was no certainty of an agreement. Based on 2024 numbers, the consortium’s revenue will be approximately $6.65 billion.
In 2025, reports surfaced that Redbird IMI was in talks with ITV to merge All3Media and ITV Studios, which it acquired in 2024. ITV then began negotiations to sell its broadcasting division to Comcast, leaving ITV Studios as an independent division.
RedBird IMI’s US partner RedBird Capital is backing Paramount Skydance’s bid for Warner Bros. Discovery.
Banijay Group, which completed its acquisition of Endemol Shine in 2000, owns more than 130 production companies, including Kudos, Tiger Aspect, The Forge and Zeppotron. All3Media has a portfolio that includes Lion Television, Raw, Silverback, Two Brother Pictures and Neal Street Productions (which is producing a Beatles biopic for Sony), along with “traitor” banners IDTV and Studio Lambert.
