Emma Stone chose a butter yellow crop top and beaded skirt for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.
The star won the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for “Bugonia.”
The film earned two other nominations tonight, including Best Motion Picture: Musical or Comedy.
While Emma Stone skipped last week’s Critics’ Choice Awards, the Bugonia actress showed up at tonight’s Golden Globes in an attention-grabbing outfit. The star, who is nominated for Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy), opted for an on-trend look for the night in a butter yellow crop top and matching beaded Louis Vuitton skirt. She posed solo and with director Yorgos Lanthimos on the red carpet.
Bugonia has two other nominations tonight, including Best Picture (Musical or Comedy).
In October, Stone and co-star Jesse Plemons spoke to Wonderland magazine about the project. When asked what she hoped viewers would take away from the film, the actress responded thoughtfully.
“It’s always a difficult question to answer,” she began. “Look at the ending. There’s a lot of different reactions. It’s very hopeful, or it’s calming in a strange way, or it’s shocking and heartbreaking. And I think both are true. Part of what’s interesting about this story is that at some point… I think it’s about seeing both points of view and having different opinions at some point. When I first walked out of there, someone immediately said, “Wow, she (my character, Michelle) is such a nice person.” So I thought, “What about her?” Is it true? Do you think so? I had never thought of her that way. ”But of course, yes, she is. And Teddy can be a villain or a force for good. That’s it. I don’t understand. I don’t know what I’m supposed to learn, but I hope this piece inspires something to say or see, to have conversations and ask questions about the state of the world, how we believe things, and how to be open to other points of view. ”
