Polymarket, the world’s largest prediction market, has entered into an innovative partnership with the Golden Globe Awards to become the annual awards ceremony’s exclusive prediction market partner.
The deal promises to raise the deposit on Globes results for users of Polymarket, which has proliferated since its launch in 2020 and has become an important source of public sentiment on topics ranging from politics and elections to sports and pop culture trends. Our partnership with the Globes brings real-time insights into award results across the Golden Globes live event, based on the sentiment of millions of users around the world.
“The Golden Globes have long been a place for viewers to discuss and predict what’s going to happen next,” said Shayne Coplan, founder and CEO of Polymarket. “Polymarket reflects these expectations through our markets across entertainment and culture, and this partnership brings that perspective directly to one of awards season’s biggest moments. By combining cultural discussion with market-based odds, we’re giving fans a new, more interactive way to follow shows as they unfold.”
As part of the partnership, Polymarket will provide integrated branding and real-time statistics and percentage-based predictions for the Globes competition at the 2026 Golden Globes Official Viewing Party. The agreement also calls for the digital integration of Polymarket modules across key brands across Globe and Variety parent company PMC during the Globe’s term.
“Our partnership with Polymarket breaks ground and redefines the way viewers engage and connect with the content they love,” said Craig Perrault, president of Penske Media Corporation. “Deepening the connection between fans and their favorite movies, shows and actors strengthens the entertainment industry and highlights the award-winning content celebrated at the Golden Globes.”
Polymarket works similarly to fantasy sports services in that users can make predictions and, if their predictions are correct, win prizes based on the odds. Polymarket has captivated users around the world with its blend of blockchain technology and fan community, making the company an influential player in business, politics, and pop culture.
The 2026 Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday from 8-11pm ET on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ in the US. It now features Polymarket insights across the broader Golden Globes ecosystem. Nikki Glazer returns as host for the second year in a row.
