“Saturday Night Live” kicks off the new year with three new episodes in January, hosted by first-time hosts Finn Wolfhard, Teyana Taylor and Alexander Skarsgård. A$AP Rocky, Geese, and Cardi B will be featured as musical guests.
Wolfhard is set to make his “SNL” debut on January 17, a few weeks after the final episode of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” which he has starred in since 2016. Rocky, who appeared in Spike Lee’s “The Heist 2 Lower,” will release his fourth album “Don’t Be Damn” on January 16th.
Taylor will take over the helm of Studio 8H on January 24 during the awards campaign for One Battle After Another, in which he co-stars with Leonardo DiCaprio. She has already been nominated for a Golden Globe, a Critics Circle Award, and an Actor Award (formerly SAG) for her performance in the Paul Thomas Anderson film. Brooklyn band Geese will make a stop on their world tour in honor of their 2025 album Getting Killed.
Skarsgård will host SNL on January 31st to promote his role in the movie Pillion, which opens on February 6th, and the Charlie XCX movie The Moment, which opens on January 30th. This will be Cardi B’s second appearance on the series, where she will perform songs from her new album, “Am I the Drama?”
Wolfhard’s episode will be the first to air on television after Bowen Yang’s emotional exit from the show after seven seasons. Yang’s exit comes after a cast reshuffle that saw series veterans Heidi Gardner and Ego Nwodim leave the show, while newcomers like Jeremy Culhane, Cam Patterson, and Veronica Slawkowska joined the ensemble.
“SNL” airs Saturdays at 11:30pm ET on NBC.
