Don’t expect to see Jenny McCarthy on “The View” again.

The 53-year-old “Masked Singer” host appeared on this week’s episode of the “Katie Miller” podcast and talked about her brief stint hosting the talk show in 2013 and 2014.

Asked if she would return to the show desk “given where I am politically,” she said, “The reason they wanted to hire me is because, quote, they said it was too polarizing. At the time, I thought it was too polarizing, folks!”

She explained that her first role within the cast was to do “light, fluffy, fun” commentary on Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor, but that “only lasted a full week.”

“And at the time, I didn’t think of myself as a politician, which is why I thought I was perfect for the job. A week later, when they said they wanted to do politics, I thought, ‘Oh my God, what am I going to do?'” McCarthy said.

She previously claimed that she was told by the show’s producers to “act like a Republican,” but she leans more towards conservative ideas.

The former Playboy model noted in a conversation with host Katie Miller that she is now “more political” because “the latest administration has been so helpful.”

“But back then? Oh, I didn’t mean to do that, I didn’t even do that,” she said. “They asked me to come back for a reunion show or something. I thought, would I ever step into that place over my dead body?”

McCarthy was one of the permanent hosts on The View during season 17, which also featured Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sherri Shepherd.

The “Dirty Love” actress recalled leaving the show in a conversation with Andy Cohen in July 2025.

“They fired us all,” she recalled on SiriusXM’s “Radio Andy,” adding that she was begging to be fired.

“What ended up happening was they came into the office and Shelly came into my locker room crying and said, ‘I just got fired.’

McCarthy recalled thinking she “didn’t want to be here” and wondered why Shepard was chosen over him. However, as the days passed, several producers were also fired.

“Then I got a call. I was the last person to get a call from my agent. He was like, ‘You’re next.'” I’m like, “Thank God.” It was a massacre,” McCarthy said. “They eliminated a lot of people.”
