Amy Schumer has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Chris Fischer after seven years of marriage.
The “I Feel Pretty” star filed papers Tuesday in New York County seeking to dissolve the union, according to People magazine.
A representative for Mr. Schumer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The comedian initially announced her divorce from Pro Chef last month.
“Blah blah blah, Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our seven-year marriage,” she captioned a lengthy Instagram post on Dec. 12.
“We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate your respecting our privacy at this time.”
The upload, which has since been deleted, included a photo of her and Fischer on the subway, and added, “Oh my gosh, not because I thought he’d lose weight and get stuffed in the basket, or because he’s a hot chef who won the Yan Remès Beard Award and can still pull a hot tail. Friendly and all the love and respect! Family is forever.”
The “Trainwreck” actress, 44, and Fisher, 45, secretly married in 2018 and gave birth to son Gene in 2019.
Split speculation surfaced in 2021 after Fisher gave Schumer a cake on her 40th birthday that read, “I’m leaving you. This was the only way I could think of.” However, it is unclear whether the message was a joke.
The actress shared a video of the ostensible gag on Instagram, during which her demeanor became subdued as he offered her a cake.
In 2023, the two raised even more eyebrows after Schumer spent the summer apart as he vacationed in Europe with Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica.
The actress showed off her dramatic weight loss in the weeks leading up to their split, even ditching her wedding ring for an Instagram photo in a yellow minidress.
She addressed the escalating rumors on Dec. 2 on her since-deleted Instagram Reels.
“Whatever happens to me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism,” she wrote, referring to changes caused by her weight loss and her husband’s diagnosis of autism in 2019. “We worked hard to get through. He’s the best. Do you have any questions?”
Mr. Schumer appeared on Reel with Mr. Fisher and his son, but ultimately deleted the post.
After their split, a source told Page Six last month that the “slightly pregnant” star and Fisher were still living together.
“She looks forward to co-parenting them full-time and seeing Jean as much, if not more, than she does now,” said a close source. She added, “For the sake of their children, the two of them are still under the same roof.”
A source close to the actress explained, “She hopes that the couple will continue to be united when it comes to raising their son.”
“Amy wants Chris to be there for Gene…if they are considering another comedy tour in the future, she wants Chris to look after Gene and ideally be willing to travel with him,” the source revealed.
“She doesn’t want to have a romantic relationship with him again.”
