We’re only about a week away from 2026, but Hollywood is already going full steam ahead into awards season. It began with the Palm Springs International Film Awards Gala and Variety’s own 10 Directors to Watch and A-list stars descending on the desert for the Creative Impact Awards breakfast, followed by the Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica.
It’s finally time for the Golden Globe Awards. From fashion soirees to studio toasts, red carpets will be rolled out across Los Angeles throughout the day and night leading up to, during and after the 83rd Annual Film and Television Awards Ceremony. The big night will take place on Sunday, January 11th, and comedian Nikki Glazer will return as host for the second year in a row. The festivities begin with Variety’s Marc Malkin and Angelique Jackson hosting the official digital pre-show starting at 3:30pm PT. The Globes will be broadcast live on CBS starting at 5pm PT and streamed on Paramount+.
