Christian Slater’s little kids aren’t intimidated by his fame.
While chatting with People at the 2025 Gotham Awards, the 56-year-old Blink Twice star talked about how his children, especially his son and daughter Lena with wife Brittany Lopez, have been affected by his fame. He shared that his star power “means nothing” to them, adding, “They’re the best.”
“I think my older daughter has some sense, but it doesn’t mean anything to her, and it doesn’t mean anything to my younger daughter,” he says. “It doesn’t mean anything, but they’re the best. I’m so glad they’re there.”

Slater, a father of four, also has two older children with ex-wife Ryan Haddon, son Jaden, 25, and daughter Eliana, 23. Back in June, he celebrated a major career moment with his family.
The Heathers actor was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, June 9, along with his wife and daughters Eliana and Lena. The actor posed with his family on a major milestone in his long career.
“I have wonderful, wonderful children (and) I can’t imagine my life without them. They’re the best,” he shared while accepting the honor. After sending a sweet shout-out to his wife, Slater concluded his speech by saying, “It’s great to have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, but none of this would have been possible without my family and the love I have today.”
In August 2024, before the birth of his youngest son, the actor opened up to PEOPLE about what it was like to experience fatherhood at this stage in his life.
“Everything is different. I definitely have more presence and I really like that,” Slater said. “I think in the beginning I was more scared, a little more confused and very distracted.”
He added, “And right now, that’s all I really think about, that’s all that I really care about, and that’s all that I want to be around. I’m happy to be in that situation.”

Months later, before the premiere of Dexter: Original Sin, Slater told Fox News Digital that he preferred to be at home with his family.
“Back in the ’90s, it seemed like all I could want was to be somewhere else all the time,” he said. “I really like being home now.”
Back in December 2024, the actor, who stars in the new TV series Dexter: Original Sin, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and opened up about the birth of his baby boy. When asked about his daughter Lena, Slater revealed that he had a funny reaction when he found out she was going to be an older sibling.
“When we told her my wife was pregnant, she asked when he was coming, and we said, ‘Well, he’s going to be here for about six months,'” he recalled.
“And she said, ‘Okay, okay. I have time to build a wall.'” She was ready to protect all her toys, Slater joked.
