When Jade Roper Tolbert requested an AI-generated family Christmas portrait, a bonus face appeared that she found special meaning in.
The Bachelor alum, 39, decided to join in on the popular AI trend by asking ChatGPT to generate a fake family portrait inspired by a Norman Rockwell painting. But when the chatbot created the image, it showed someone else, and Jade said she believed it was her late son Beau.
In addition to Jade, her husband Tanner Tolbert and their three young children, sons Reed, 5, and Brooks, 6, and daughter Emerson, 8, another little boy was also featured in the AI-generated Christmas portrait, according to an Instagram Story post shared by Jade on Saturday, Dec. 27.
The former reality star said she believes the boy is Beau, the son the couple lost to a miscarriage in 2023.

“Norman Rockwell’s holiday trend added a boy to our image,” Jade wrote, adding, “Of course Beau would want a family photo too so that hit home with me. 🥰.”
Jade then shared in another post that she asked the AI chatbot to fix the error so that only five family members were shown in the fake portrait, just like the reference image she submitted. However, the results were not completely satisfactory.
“But right now I feel kind of empty,” she wrote alongside a new image.
Also on her Instagram Story, the former Bachelor star shared a prompt she gave the AI chatbot: “Can you turn our family into a Norman Rockwell Christmas-themed photo in a different pose? Make it cuter and cozier!”

She also shared a reference image that Jade sent before the boy arrived, from a collection of family photos she first posted in November.

Jade opened up about her pregnancy loss in an emotional Instagram post on Aug. 13, 2023, writing, “I’ve been through a miscarriage and I’m wondering what to write here.”
“It felt like all my dreams had come true to welcome another baby into our lives, love them, and complete our family,” she continued at the time. “While our hearts were completely shattered and we were dealing with the deep and complex grief of our loss, we were blessed to have been touched by his spirit for a short time. I have been forever changed.”
“I am currently experiencing what is called a missed miscarriage, so his heart has stopped and he has stopped growing (for a while), but my body has not released the pregnancy yet. I am trying to conceive naturally and trusting the timing and my body under the care of my provider.”

“I held him with so much pride and cherished every moment that a piece of him still remained, but it was equally challenging and devastating,” she continued, concluding her message with a touching tribute.
“So while I’m here holding my belly, our sweet baby’s body is resting in my womb and his soul is soaring,” she wrote, referring to the pose in the attached photo. “We love you with all our hearts, baby, Beau❤️”
Months later, Jade and her family honored Beau’s due date of January 2024 by sharing a heart-shaped cake named after him on the day they were supposed to welcome him into the world.
