Vera Wang, 76, looks youthful in extravagant bridal dress for Christmas

Vera Wang is the queen of Christmas high fashion.

For the past 10 years, Wang has celebrated Christmas in Miami with her two daughters, Cecilia Becker, 35, and Josephine Becker, 32. According to the fashion designer’s Instagram, she and her family enjoyed Christmas with a low-key gathering at home.

However, it seemed as if she had started a new tradition. On December 24th, Wang posted a solo “official Christmas portrait” photo on Instagram to spread holiday cheer. Unlike in past years, when the businesswoman posted lavish home shots with her children, she shared multiple images of herself glamorously dressed in a Vera Wang haute couture bridal gown.

Photographed by Till Janz, Ms Wang is seen wearing a white strapless confectionery with a huge skirt that matches the gorgeous Christmas tree and wrapped presents.

“Merry Christmas everyone,” she captioned the series of images.

For the actual gathering, Ms. Wang dressed less, but still made a fashionable statement.

In a photo shared to her personal Instagram, Wang was seen with her loved one in a sleeveless, tight-fitting brown dress and black pointy-toe heels. She wore her hair in a sleek down style with hair barrettes.

While fans may still be waiting for Wang to reveal her and her daughters’ matching outfits, there’s plenty to draw inspiration from. Last holiday, the trio showed off coordinating royal purple gowns that were just as daring as the ultra-glamorous teal pieces they wore in 2023.

While Wang is a very active social media user (particularly Instagram), her daughters are less so, with younger daughter Josephine largely staying out of the spotlight. However, Wang’s daughters take center stage on Instagram a few times a year: Christmas and New Year’s.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the 2024 Fashion Scholarship Foundation Gala in April, Wang said her children enjoy wearing glamorous outfits when they go out with their mother. “I don’t do it often, but when I do, it’s a lot of fun,” she said.

Wang celebrated his 76th birthday in June. For the occasion, she headed to Paris to host a party wearing a black minidress and knee-high boots. As a special touch, she painted her age in glitter on her arm. “A lot of my friends don’t want to do that. They say, ‘I’m too old,'” Wang told PEOPLE about celebrating her birthday in style. I said, “That doesn’t mean I’m old.” It’s about being here and being alive and we should celebrate that,” she said, adding, “But you have to celebrate every year that you’re alive. That’s how I feel.”
