Jennifer Garner has truly done it all.
The Golden Globe winner, 53, shared the list on Instagram on Thursday, Nov. 27, in which she detailed just a few of the “crazy things” she’s done for work over her decades in the spotlight.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn so many things on the job, little by little,” Garner wrote in a carousel post highlighting some of his career highlights. “I’m thankful for the teachers who are patient with me, and I’m grateful for everyone here for playing with me.”
Garner cited “learning how to fight” (along with a clip of a brawl scene with Quentin Tarantino in 2002’s Alias) and learning “all the weapons, but mostly rhinos” (alongside a snapshot of him holding a blade in 2003’s Daredevil, 2005’s Elektra, and 2024’s Deadpool) among the “crazy” tasks he took on for his acting gig. wolverine).

Garner’s other “crazy” assignments include learning “every spy language,” taking “horsemanship lessons,” learning to “turn a tree,” carving butter, and hanging from a wire.
She ended the compilation with a clip of her playing a dolphin in a 1998 episode of Fantasy Island with the cheeky caption, “It was a dolphin.” This is probably her craziest acting job to date.
Garner’s post comes days after her friend Reese Witherspoon also shared the “crazy things” she did at work in an Instagram post on Sunday, Nov. 23.
Witherspoon, 49, wasn’t quite able to pretend to be a dolphin, but she recalled playing the autoharp, taking a law class, riding an elephant, dressing up as a deer, and training for a space scene on The Morning Show.
Witherspoon captioned the post: “I can’t believe how many adventures this job has brought me! I’m so grateful.”

As for Garner, she didn’t just spend the week reflecting. The actress took advantage of her free Thanksgiving morning to volunteer at the Midnight Mission’s annual charity lunch on Skid Row in Los Angeles. The organization said she was on “mashed potato duty” and helped “serve Thanksgiving with dignity, hope and lots of love.”
“My name is Jen, and today I want to thank the Los Angeles community for this wonderful day, for life, for taking care of themselves, for my family, for everything here,” she said in an Instagram video. “No matter where you live, there are people out there helping feed the food insecure and unhoused. Find them and help them.”
She added, “They do an amazing job of not just feeding, but serving this community with love and dignity and respect and with a pile of mashed potatoes. Because that’s my responsibility.”
