Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco celebrated Thanksgiving in California. This day was my first big vacation after getting married. The two got married in late September.
On Thursday, Selena Gomez shared photos from their first Thanksgiving together as a couple with Benny Blanco. The first photo she posted to her Instagram Stories showed a view of her Beverly Hills backyard, complete with a long dining table. The table was decorated with fancy tableware, red candles, and flowers.
In the background, some of Gomez’s family members can be seen coming down the stairs with food. Tall white candles line the stairs as the sun begins to set and colorful clouds begin to fill the sky.
Gomez wrote above the image, “Thank you so much to everyone today…Happy Thanksgiving.”
In the second photo, Gomez is seated next to a swing in front of a roaring outdoor fireplace with hanging plants. The two were seen cuddling, Gomez wearing a pale pink long shirt and a long white skirt with a teddy bear print. Blanco is wearing a blue T-shirt and black jeans.
The couple married on September 27, 2025 in Santa Barbara, California. The two started dating in 2023 and got engaged in December 2024. On the Aug. 7 episode of Therapuss, a podcast she co-stars with Jake Shane, Gomez talked about meeting Blanco when they were just 16 years old and they talked about making music together. They weren’t like that back then, and she didn’t feel much of a connection.
“I feel like he was an acquaintance, if that makes sense,” she said. “To be honest, we weren’t really good friends. I just thought he was a nice guy and we did a few songs together.[We did]’Same Old Love,’ which was great, and we had a lot of fun…nothing special. And[we did]’I Can’t Get Enough,’ which we did with Tiny and J. Balvin…it didn’t go over there either. I just thought he was funny, and I didn’t think anything of it.”
They worked on 2023’s “Single Soon” and reconnected.
“It wasn’t our favorite,” she admitted. “I can tell you this because I’m married to him. It really wasn’t what I wanted. So he came over and we were like, ‘Hello, Benny,’ and we talked for two hours. I asked him to go out with anyone he knew that was cute, and he was like, ‘Oh, we’re doing this, come over for this dinner night,’ and before we knew it, we were dating.”
She added: “He was scared at first because he was at work and on top of that, people might get mad. And I was like, ‘I don’t care. Just kiss me.'”
