President Trump reignited his feud with comedian Jimmy Kimmel after the comedian joked that he was “preparing for Hurricane Epstein.”
“Why does ABC Fake News continue to air Jimmy Kimmel, who has no talent and very low TV ratings?” the 79-year-old commander-in-chief wrote via Truth Social on Thursday.
“Why would TV syndicates put up with that? And it’s completely biased reporting. Please take it off the air!!!”
Representatives for Kimmel, 58, did not immediately respond to Page Six for comment.
President Trump’s remarks came after the late-night show hosts spoke on Wednesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” How the President Was Expected to Sign the Epstein File Transparency Act.
A Congressional bill signed by President Trump hours after Kimmel’s show was filmed would release “all documents and records” related to the late convicted criminal Jeffrey Epstein.
Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking of minors. He was 66 years old.
“We are now carefully tracking the path of Hurricane Epstein,” Kimmel quipped. “It is equivalent to Category 5 and is expected to make landfall soon.”
“We are now one step closer to answering the question, ‘What did the president know, and how old were these women when he knew?'” the talk show host added.
Producers of Kimmel’s show also shared a monologue on YouTube titled “Trump’s Brace Against Hurricane Epstein.”
Kimmel and Trump have had a years-long feud, and the 47th president was pleased that Kimmel’s show was taken off the air after comments he made about the late Charlie Kirk in September.
On the Sept. 11 broadcast, Kimmel, who expressed his condolences to Kirk’s family via social media, joked that the suspect responsible for the conservative activist’s Sept. 10 death was most likely connected to a “MAGA gang” of Trump supporters.
“Great news for America: Jimmy Kimmel’s show, which has had ratings issues, is being canceled,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social shortly after Kimmel’s show was canceled.
“Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what they had to do. Kimmel has zero talent and has worse ratings than[CBS late-night host Stephen]Colbert, if that’s possible.”
But Kimmel returned to the skies as several celebrities stood by him and called for free speech.
In his first episode back, Kimmel said, “I never meant to make light of the murder of a young man.”
“I didn’t mean to blame any particular group for the actions of someone who was clearly extremely mentally ill. That was the exact opposite of the point I was trying to make,” he continued, explaining that he understands how people felt his joke was “ill-timed or nonsensical.”
Despite the conflict, Kimmel revealed in a conversation with Bloomberg last month that he would “love to have Trump on his show.”
