Sabrina Carpenter, Selena Gomez and Andrew Garfield win Anthem Awards

Sabrina Carpenter, Selena Gomez and Andrew Garfield have won the 5th Anthem Award, hosted by the Webby Awards. This award recognizes leaders who drive positive change and impact society around the world.

Carpenter, Gomez, and Garfield received Gold Anthem Awards for their respective work on PLUS1, Rare Beauty, and Sesame Workshop. Other Gold winners include Katie Couric and the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, Lauren and Seth Rogen and AARP, Lily Singh and the Unicorn Island Foundation, The Ad Council, Google, GLAAD, Headspace, World Central Kitchen, Mel Robbins Podcast, Lush Cosmetics, Make-A-Wish America, MTV Entertainment Studios, PBS, eBay, Spotify, ACLU, Lily starring Patricia Clarkson, and Liquid IV. and Human Rights Watch.

Anthem also honors individuals and organizations with Lifetime Achievement Awards for their commitment to lasting change. This year’s recipients are Advocate of the Year Paris Hilton, Athlete of the Year Frances Tiafoe, Impact Creator of the Year Brooke Eby, Philanthropist of the Year Tim Gill and Scott Miller, and Vision Award recipient Vincent Stanley.

The organizations receiving Lifetime Achievement Awards are Dept, which won Agency of the Year, Google, which won Brand of the Year, AARP, which won Nonprofit of the Year, Mobilize Recovery, which won Small Nonprofit of the Year, and Public Inc. and Meals On Wheel America’s End The Wait, which won the Empowerment Award sponsored by AARP.

“As we continue to navigate social and political challenges and turmoil, the winners of the 5th Anthem Awards remind us that when we come together in collective action, great change can occur and we can have a truly positive impact,” Anthem Awards general manager Patricia McLaughlin said in a statement Tuesday.

Anthem Award winners were selected by leaders of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. This year’s winners were selected from over 2,000 entries from 42 countries around the world.
