Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s daughter Monroe Cannon made an unusual comment about her siblings in a new Instagram Stories post.
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, 14-year-old Monroe explained her blended family on social media.
“We all want to do something,” she began, adding, “I only have one sibling, @moroccan.cannon. I also have half-siblings from my father, and they’re all years younger than me!”
The All I Want for Christmas is You hitmaker, 56, has twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-husband Cannon, 45. After several months of dating, they secretly married in a private ceremony in the Bahamas in 2008 and welcomed Monroe and the Moroccan in 2011.
Since their separation in 2014 and divorce in 2016, Cannon has gone on to have 10 more children. He shares sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell. twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heiress, and daughters Beautiful Zeppelin and Abby De La Rosa. Legendary love with son Bre Tiesi. and daughters Onyx Ice Cole and Lanisha Cole.
Cannon is the father of two children with Alyssa Scott. Their son Zen was diagnosed with a brain tumor and passed away in December 2021 at the age of 5 months. Their daughter, Halo Marie Cannon, was born on December 14, 2022.
Cannon once credited her eldest daughter, Monroe, with helping her get through difficult times, including the sudden death of her son, Zen. “My daughter is really, really in tune and wise beyond her years,” he previously told PEOPLE. “I’ve had a lot of therapists, but she’s probably my best one.”

He added, “She keeps me in check. She’s very pure and honest. (…) She’s my eldest. We’re twins, but she was the first to come out and let everyone know. She helped me keep it strong.”

When Carey was recently asked by Gayle King about her co-parenting relationship with the Masked Singer host during a Sept. 24 pre-taped segment on CBS Morning, she responded, “I feel like it’s better not to talk about him, because he just needs to stay in his own world.”
“I don’t mean any harm to him,” she added at the time.
