Kelly Clarkson had a furious reaction to her former manager who once told her to get breast implants.
The revelation came while the 43-year-old pop star was performing at her Las Vegas residency, Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions, on Saturday.
Just before singing the final song of the night, she adjusted her plunging jumpsuit.
“Are your boobs showing? Oh yeah,” she said into the microphone, drawing laughter from the audience.
Clarkson then paused to debate whether she should share her unfiltered story.
“I’ll tell you this,” she finally spoke up. “One day, my dad’s manager asked me to get a boob job done.”
The winner of season 1 of “American Idol” recalled responding, “Why don’t you get a job in advertising? I’m fine with tiny boobs! Get out of here. Drive a big old car and make up for it.”
After describing the anonymous executive as “disgusting,” Clarkson told the audience: “Who says that? People say that! They say that to people in the industry all the time. They say the craziest things. I’m like, ‘This is not normal. They’ve normalized something crazy.'”
She went on to criticize celebrities who have gone too far with plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures, claiming: “Everyone here looks like they’re in the Capitol in The Hunger Games.”
In response to his former manager in question, the Grammy winner rhetorically added: “Really! Don’t let me do you, okay?…I like my little tits. They’ve served me well.”
Clarkson is the mother of daughter River, 11, and son Remington “Remy”, 9.
She shared them with her ex-husband and former manager Brandon Blackson, who died in August at age 48 after a battle with melanoma.
In November 2023, nearly two years after their controversial divorce was finalized, Mr. Blackstock was ordered to repay more than $2.5 million in overcharged fees to his ex-wife.
