“South Park” will break from its usual release pattern by releasing special episodes on Friday nights to coincide with Halloween. The second episode of the newly launched season 28, “The Woman in the Hat,” covers the news of President Trump’s plan to demolish the east wing of the White House and build a new banquet hall on the site.
According to the logline released by Comedy Central, the episode’s events include the White House dealing with “subversive spirits from the East,” while “Stan worries that South Park is becoming too political.” A preview image for the episode included above shows Trump and his on-air love interest Satan overseeing the demolition of the White House. Another released sneak preview, shown below, depicts leaders within the Trump administration, including Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller, appearing to be possessed by a ghostly presence.

The episode will premiere on Comedy Central on Friday at 10 p.m. This replaces the show’s regular Wednesday time slot. The new episode was scheduled to air on Wednesday, October 29, but the adjustment was completed the day before after the network’s social media post promoting the original air date was deleted. Future episodes of “South Park” Season 28 will continue to air on Wednesdays, and are currently scheduled to air on Nov. 12, Nov. 26, and Dec. 10.
The latest season of “South Park” suddenly premiered on October 15th. Season 27 of the long-running animated comedy series aired in early fall, but it ended after just five episodes, and the sixth installment was suddenly postponed by a week. The network previously announced a 10-episode order for season 27. No details were given as to why the series suddenly switched to another season.
However, season 28 continued where season 27 left off, focusing on skewering the Trump administration’s policies and honing in on the ongoing bad romance between the commander-in-chief and Satan.
