The New York City townhouse owned by Lily Allen and David Harbor has been put on the market for $8 million, less than a year after the couple separated.
The listing of the Brooklyn property comes amid rumors that Allen, 40, is hinting at her new album West End Girl (released Friday, October 24). The album was inspired by the breakup of her marriage to the Stranger Things star, 50, and apparently highlights the issues that strained their relationship.
The couple separated in February after four years of marriage, but their New York home, which was featured in the March 2023 issue of Architectural Digest, wasn’t listed for sale until Sunday, Oct. 26, according to real estate records.
Records show the former couple originally purchased the property in 2021 for $3.4 million and spent the next several years completely renovating the five-bedroom, four-bathroom residence. The list is currently held by Carl Gambino of Compass.
As detailed on her new album (which she said features both “fact and fiction” lyrics), the “Smile” singer denounces the way her partner mistreated her during their relationship.
In the song “Pussy Palace,” Allen recalls the moment when, while unloading some of his partner’s belongings at their West Village apartment, he apparently discovered a number of items used in his partner’s affair. She also wonders if the person is a “sex addict” after making a shocking discovery.
In the song “Madeline”, Allen confronts a woman he believes his partner is having an affair with. She then sings about her partner breaking the rules of the “arrangement.” And on “Dallas Major,” she sings about feeling like she’s in an open marriage that wasn’t her choice.
Meanwhile, on “Sleepwalking,” she sings, “But you made me think it was me in my head/And it has nothing to do with the girls in your bed,” seemingly directly referencing the infidelity that strained her marriage.

When Allen and Haber toured their home with AD, the former couple toured parts of the home they once shared together.
The tour began with Harbor acting out a scene in which an unexpected ex-lover comes to visit. As I opened the door, he jokingly said, “Oh my god. What the hell are you doing here? I mean, last time I was single and living on the Lower East Side. Now I have a family. Kids. I mean, this is so embarrassing. But you look nice, so come in.”
As they headed to the garden room, Allen joked that the room was a place where they could “debate.”
“We have a double-sided sofa, so David and I can have discussions, stare at each other, and relax at the same time,” she says with a laugh.

Some of the West End Girl album images appear to have been taken inside her home, including a shot for Spotify that Allen posted to her Instagram account, which features the same floral wallpaper and green sofa seen in her garden room.
Other images show Allen in the kitchen, food items scattered on the counter and something cooking on the stove.

In an interview with British Vogue published on October 17, Allen revealed that his marriage directly influenced the lyrics of West End Girl.
“What I went through in my marriage is on record, but it’s not all gospel,” she said. “It was inspired by what happened in the relationship.”

Allen, who has daughters Marnie Rose, 12, and Ethel Mary, 13, with ex-husband Sam Cooper, also opened up about going to a treatment facility after her marriage ended.
A source told PEOPLE in February that the singer was “devastated and not in a good place” after the breakup of her marriage. The source added that their separation was “extremely difficult for her and her daughters.”
Allen and Harbor first started dating in 2019 and married in a ceremony in Las Vegas in September 2020.
