Matthew McConaughey’s teenage son Levi knows the importance of maintaining good hygiene thanks to the ‘Interstellar’ actor.
Levi, 17, said the best grooming tip he learned from his famous father was to “always stay clean.”
“It’s important,” he told People at a Clarins event in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 18.
He also talked about how his mother, model Camila Alves, and sister Vida, 15, help him with basic skin care.
“It’s just cleanser and moisturizer and little things that my sister and mom put in there,” he said of his routine.
In addition to Levi and Vida, Matthew and Camila also have a 12-year-old son, Livingston.
Levi credited his “radiance” to his family, noting that it came from “spending great time with my family and spending time with myself.”
Levi made a rare red carpet appearance with his parents at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March.
He followed in his father’s acting footsteps and landed a role in Way of the Warrior Kid, starring Chris Pratt. The film is scheduled to be released in December.
Little is known about Levi’s character in the film, but the film tells the story of a bullied boy who learns to “find his inner warrior with the help of his uncle, an elite Navy SEAL.”
Matthew, 55, was seen on set in October 2024, patting Levi on the shoulder and encouraging him when he looked nervous.
Levi also recently spoke about the challenges of following in his father’s footsteps.
“And as long as people can say, ‘Oh, I got this because of my mom or dad,’ they can open the door, but once I get in there, it’s up to me to conduct myself. That’s my responsibility,” he told People.
“It takes some skill,” he added.
