‘Honkai: Star Rail’ players around the world will receive a free, limited-time subscription to Sony’s anime-centric streamer Crunchyroll’s premium service.
This partnership comes as Honkai: Star Rail releases a new game update, version 3.7 “As Tomorrow Became Yesterday” on November 5th, featuring new content and the 5-star character Cyrene.
A deal between “Honkai: Star Rail” publisher HoYoverse and Crunchryroll will give eligible players access to a 14-day Mega Fan free trial of Crunchyroll Premium from November 6th to January 27th. This offer (double the regular 7-day free trial offered by Crunchyroll) is triggered by linking a user’s “Honkai: Star Rail” account to their Crunchyroll account.
Crunchyroll memberships are currently priced at $7.99 per month for the lowest tier (Fans), $11.99 per month for the middle tier (Mega Fans), and $15.99 for the highest tier (Ultimate Fans).
Additionally, the commissioned “Honkai: Star Rail” fan production “Chimerric Park” will debut on Crunchyroll for two weeks only. According to HoYverse and Crunchyroll, “The exclusive premiere elevates this honest expression of fandom by juxtaposing rich, dynamic art from around the world with the best of anime.”
New and existing users who link their accounts with Honkai: Star Rail and Crunchyroll will also earn in-game rewards for Honkai: Star Rail, such as Stella Jade and Lost Crystals.
Regions excluded from the offer include China, Japan, Russia, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Belarus, Crimea, Donetsk, the Ukrainian region of Luhansk, Iran, and Syria.
