Miley Cyrus will be contributing a new recording, “Dream as One,” to the Avatar: Fire and Ash soundtrack.
Cyrus teams up with Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson, and Simon Franglen for the song, which will appear in the end credits and soundtrack of James Cameron’s third film in the series. The soundtrack, which includes a score composed by Frangren, will be released on December 12th, and “Dream as One” will be released on November 14th.
The singer teased snippets of “Dream as One” on social media, writing that she was excited to contribute new songs to the film. “I’m honored to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I wrote with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt,” she wrote. “This project has deep meaning for me as someone who was personally affected by a fire and rebuilt from the ashes. Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. The film’s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deep within my soul, and to be a small star in the universe created by the Avatar family is truly a dream come true.”
“Avatar: Fire and Ashes” will mark Cameron’s return to Pandora, following 2022’s “Avatar: Waterways.” In addition to Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña, the film also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, De Starring Vid Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, Britten Dalton, Jamie Flutters, Trinity Jo-Lee Bliss, Jack Champion, Brendan Cowell and Bailey Bass. Cyrus is no stranger to soundtrack contributions, having contributed the original song “Beautiful That Way” to The Last Showgirl soundtrack in December 2024. Earlier this year, she released her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, and an accompanying visual film.
